🎙️ Be Kind To Your Mind with Priyanka Varma

Watch the episode on YouTube here

"Sitting down with ourselves is not always comfortable. But the more we check in with ourselves, the more we understand ourselves and the people around us."

Our mind, like any other organ, responds to the stress we put on it. Talking about how our minds feel and seeking ways to address our mental wellness is slowly becoming normal and mainstream. The mind is a part of our body, and needs the same care and love we would give our stomach when it's upset. Dissecting what happens to us when we're stressed & anxious is Priyanka Varma.

Priyanka Varma is a clinical psychologist and Founder of The Thought Co. Her experience in clinical psychology, counselling and psychotherapy spans over 10 years. She has worked extensively with young adults as they navigate the changing society triggered by technological advancement. Her research focus has been on internet addiction and how we can use technology to better serve the emotional and mental health needs of people.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How do people perceive stress?
  • Is stress good for us?
  • How does stress affect our body?
  • How to build a connection with yourself?
  • Why is the mind & body connection important?
  • How does checking in with yourself help?
  • Why is self-talk important?
