      Sustainable Gifting

As unique and premium as the contents inside it, this elegant green gift box is a true testament to nature. Made from recycled cardboard and free of plastic lamination, it can biodegrade anywhere, all by itself. If you like how it looks, you can reuse the box to store other goodies or gift it to your loved ones. If you're short on space, just throw it in the trash, and it will make its way back to the Earth.

      Teabag with a Tale

Two of the most popular materials used to create tea bags are nylon and paper.

Nylon is made from plastic and is non-biodegradable. In hot water, the bag releases microplastics that are not meant for human consumption. Each teabag releases 11.6 bn microplastics in a single tea cup (source: BBC) and takes an average of 30 to 40 years to decompose. (source: The Hindu, 2022)

Paper teabags are treated with Epichlorohydrin, a chemical that’s also commonly used as a pesticide. Just like synthetics release toxins when in contact with boiling water, so does chemically treated paper.

Made with non-plastic, plant-based corn starch, Ausum teabags steep ZERO microplastics, unlike nylon or paper bags. These plant-based bags are 100% biodegradable and decompose within 3-6 months, without a trace! So sip on and breathe easy.

      Brewing Instructions

      - Add an Ausum teabag to a cup.
      - Add 200- 250 ml of hot water and steep for 2-3 minutes.
      - Enjoy at any time of the day.

Functional teas are a great way to get some mindful minutes. Take a break from your desk, walk to the kitchen, turn on the kettle and give yourself a 2 min break while you wait to make your brew.

Functional teas are calming and soothing, primarily due to their ingredients, but the physical warmth provided by the hot beverage has an emotional appeal. As the colours unfurl into your cup and the gentle aroma of natural ingredients tickle your senses, stress starts to fade away.
